Winter Term, Day Six: Gourmet Greek

Daniel had this plan at the beginning of the month to have a gourmet meal. Not that what we were eating up until now wasn't gourmet, but he meant multiple courses and drinks and invited guests staying outside of the kitchen. We decided on Greek food. Yoshi, Eliza, and Michael sat and were overwhelmed. Chris joined us at the end of the meal, and Aries dropped by for dessert.

We had hummus, tzatziki, and oregano flatbread to start.

Then Avgolemono soup (a Greek chicken-lemon-rice-egg soup) and Greek spinach salad with cucumbers, red pepper, tomato, onion, asparagus, parmesan, and a lemon and olive oil dressing (I was too excited to eat it and forgot to take a photo).

Then the main course: savory granola encrusted chicken, which had been pounded and then rolled around a mixture of feta, olives, and parmesan. This was served with herb roasted potatoes and a roasted sweet tomato sauce.

We ended the meal with lemon shortbread and Telestrations, a game of drawing and writing that takes the game of Telephone to a new level. We had to stop because our stomachs hurt from too much laughing.
